Doctors Telephone Times

Following the success of doctors’ telephone times, you can now book a telephone consultation in place of a visit to the surgery. This new system replaces the previous “telephone times”. The doctor will aim to phone you within 30 minutes of the appointment time you have booked. Please try to be available on a land line where we can phone you, in a place suitable for talking to the doctor. These telephone appointments can be booked on the day or pre-booked.

“If you can tell me about it – it can be dealt with by phone
If you need to show me – it needs an appointment at the surgery”

Enquiries / Results of Tests

Telephone and personal enquiries about test results are best made after 2.00 p.m.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on long-term medication you will be given a repeat prescription.  Repeat medication can be ordered securely online via our Patient Access system (please ask at reception for information on registering for this service).  Alternatively repeat medication can be ordered by completing and handing in/posting your order sheet found on the right hand side of your prescription, preferably 1week before you require the medication. If you supply a stamped addressed envelope we will post your prescription to you. Prescription requests will NOT normally be accepted by telephone as this can lead to mistakes. There are also certain medicines which cannot be prescribed without first seeing the Doctor. All repeat prescription requests will be processed and ready for collection 48hrs after receiving your request (excluding weekends/public holidays).  Please also note that some of the local chemists collect prescriptions from us and will have them ready for you to pick up 48 hours later. (Please let us know if you wish to use this service).
